Strawberry Margaritas are a fruity and refreshing twist on the classic Margarita. Here's a simple recipe to a terrific Strawberry Margaritas mix:

Ingredients

  • 4-5 fresh strawberries (or about 1/2 cup frozen strawberries)
  • 2 oz Silver or Blanco tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar Free Strawberry Rose Skinny Syrup (or to taste)
  • ½ cup of ice cubes

Optional garnishes

  • Fresh strawberry
  • Lime wheel or wedge
  • Salt for rimming the glass

Instructions

  1. If you are using fresh strawberries, hull them and cut them in half. But, if you are using frozen strawberries instead, let them thaw slightly before using them.
  2. Prepare the glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and then dipping it in a shallow plate of salt to create a salted rim.
  3. In a blender, combine the strawberries, tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and Sugar Free Strawberry Rose Skinny Syrup.
  4. Add about ½ cup of ice cubes to the blender. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add more ice cubes.
  5. Blend the mixture until smooth and slushy. Adjust the sweetness by adding more Sugar Free Strawberry Rose Skinny Syrup.
  6. Pour the Strawberry Margarita into the prepared glass.
  7. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and/or a lime wheel/wedge.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Strawberry Margarita!

FAQs

Is Cointreau better than Triple Sec?

When it comes to choosing between Cointreau and Triple Sec for your Strawberry Margarita, consider the following factors:

  • Flavor: If you prefer a more refined, balanced, and nuanced orange flavour, Cointreau might be the better choice. However, if you enjoy a stronger and sweeter orange taste, Triple Sec could work well.
  • Quality: Cointreau is often seen as a higher-quality ingredient, which could elevate your Strawberry Margarita. On the other hand, not all Triple Sec brands are created equal, so you may need to experiment with different brands to find one that suits your taste.
  • Budget: If you're looking to save on cocktail ingredients, Triple Sec is generally more affordable than Cointreau. However, if you're willing to splurge on a premium ingredient, Cointreau could enhance the overall flavor of your Strawberry Margarita.
